Course Description

The course will involve pupils undertaking different methods of running training to enable them to complete a 5k (3 mile) or a 10k (6 mile) run.  Each week, we will run a different offsite route (for example in the grounds of Clitheroe Castle or along the river between Edisford and Grindleton).  Pupils who choose this course should already have a reasonable level of fitness and be prepared to run continuously each week.  They will also learn about nutrition and the effects of exercise on the body.  At the end of the course, pupils will complete a timed 5k or 10k race.  It should prove to be a very rewarding and enjoyable course.
